Building Futures

Our Apprentices

CCG is committed to skills replenishment and training. We have a year-on-year commitment to providing apprenticeships, working with our clients and academia across the breadth of Scotland.

CCG is a modern and progressive contractor and we understand the importance of providing a solid foundation for young people in choosing a career in construction. This is delivered by a mix of modern and trade apprenticeships, all industry-recognised and undertaken over an in-depth, 4-year programme.

Offered to those 16 and above as well as the addition of adult apprenticeships, we provide programmes in, administration, bricklaying, joinery, plumbing, heating engineering and electrical.

In August 2019, a total of 18 trade apprentices joined the CCG Group and thanks to our work with clients – including the Wheatley Group and the ‘Wheatley Pledge’ – CITB and local academic partners, we have been able to provide access to our apprenticeship programme to the communities in which we operate including Glasgow, Edinburgh, North and South Lanarkshire, Ayrshire, West Dunbartonshire and Perth & Kinross.

In total, the CCG Group employs 70 apprentices, representing nearly 10% of our overall workforce, and we are delighted to state that we are able to retain a high percentage of graduates as full-time employees.

CCG will be accepting applications for our 2020 intake next March.
