A key part of this ethos is to provide industry-recognised training programmes across office and site-based that include trainee assistant site management, health and safety, estimating, buying, and surveying, as well as accounting and administration functions, all delivered over a 3-4 year programme. Higher education is also available to existing staff, should it be requested, with many members of our Contracts team having went on to study MBAs.
CCG currently have 26 trainees employed across the Group and have a year-on-year commitment to ensure up to 25 new entrants join annually. We are immensely proud to say that as a direct result of CCG’s trainee and apprenticeship programmes, the vast majority of students successfully embark on fulfilling and rewarding careers
Don’t trust us? John Baggley, pictured above, is now a Contracts Manager having started his career as an apprentice joiner. John now manages a series of contracts from within our Construction division across a variety of sectors including large-scale residential and commercial projects.
CCG also offer work placements for those who are thinking about joining the industry with a variety of opportunities to choose from that are both office and site-based. In 2017/18, CCG were able to offer 46 work placements as a direct result of our projects undertaken across central Scotland.
