Building Futures

FESTIVE fun was had by all at CCG on the 2020 Christmas Jumper Day (11th of December 2020) with a  collective effort made by site and office staff across the group raising funds for deserving causes in local areas.

CCG is proud to announce a total of £1777 was raised in light of this appeal and was distributed to local community groups across central Scotland.

Presently being constructed on behalf of South Lanarkshire Council, hub South West Scotland, West Whitlawburn Housing Cooperative and CCG Homes, the mixed-tenure, 311-home East Whitlawburn Regeneration raised a total of £555 with the funds raised being provided to help families local to Cambuslang.

A similar effort was made from the site staff at the 104-home Granton Harbour in Leith, Edinburgh with a total of £382 donated to a local branch of the Trussell Trust.

In addition, a total of £500 was raised across three sites that are presently being constructed on behalf of North Lanarkshire Council. Staff at Caledonian Avenue, Dimsdale Road and Lismore Drive made generous contributions in support of this appeal, as well as donating food parcels to local food banks in local areas.

Lynn Stoddart, CCG Group HR Manager, said: “This December, the number of people relying on food banks and local charities is expected to be significantly higher than previous years as many people face the burden of the COVID-19 pandemic. With this in mind, CCG was more than willing to help give back to our local communities by providing support to those who need it most. I thank our staff for their fantastic effort in raising this money and wish everyone a very happy Christmas and New Year.”
