CCG have raised over £30,000 for the St Andrew’s Hospice Capital Appeal after hosting an ‘It’s a Knockout’ fun day at Strathclyde Country Park.
The fun day involved teams of ten made up of companies from within the CCG Group and those who work with CCG across the supply chain battling against each other across large, inflatable assault courses whilst trying to avoid falling into large pools of cold, murky water.
CCG Chairman and CEO, Alastair Wylie, said:
“CCG would like to thank everyone who came to the ‘It’s a Knockout Day’. The event was well attended by the participating companies who graciously donated £1000 each to participate. We would like to take this opportunity to thank each of these companies for their support.
“The Capital Appeal is on programme to reach its target by 2020 and CCG are very proud to be leading the works to the Hospice facility which is due to be completed in 2018.”
St Andrew’s Hospice is a specialist palliative care facility located in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire. The charity is raising £9 million through the Capital Appeal to raise funds for the extensive refurbishment works that are presently being undertaken by CCG at the existing facility. Works include upgrades to areas of the building’s exterior facade and interior reconfiguration with the creation of more single-occupancy rooms, a second ward complete with staff facilities, and a new main entrance.
CCG Group member Arc-Tech, who also participated in the fun day, are leading the installation of all M&E services for the building including heating, plumbing, security, and lighting systems. More information on the list of services provided by the company can be found HERE.
