Lochlee Wynd, a new private housing development in Dundee, has proved to be a sell-out success, with every single property sold in under 10 months.
Families have already started to move into their new homes, and the last remaining properties were bought after members of the public were invited to view the luxurious show home, which was one of 17 contemporary, three and four bedroomed detached and semi-detached energy efficient homes, located at Lochlee Wynd, just off Glamis Road – a quiet, suburban neighbourhood of Dundee.
The development is the latest edition to CCG.’s portfolio of successful developments across central Scotland and continues our tradition of delivering homes effectively and efficiently at an affordable price.
CCG Director, Calum Murray, said: “Lochlee Wynd is a beautiful new development which resonates with the surrounding area offering stylish homes that reflect the values of the city. This once unattractive, brownfield site has been transformed into a range of three and four bedroom homes offering ample living space and outstanding value. The fact that all properties have been sold within 10 months is an outstanding achievement for CCG.”
“The 17 homes have been constructed off-site, using a timber frame system manufactured by CCG. This construction method ensured a faster speed of delivery and is also inherently sustainable allowing the homeowners to benefit from long-term savings on their energy bills.”
Lochlee Wynd’ is part of a mixed tenure development that also includes ‘Blackwood House’, a bespoke two-storey block of six flats designed to support flexible living with increased levels of accessibility and integrated communications.
It too has been delivered using off-site construction methods utilising an additional level of the CCG OSM timber system with the factory-applied application of ‘brick slips’. Replicating a traditional brick aesthetic, this lightweight cladding solution offers an alternative to brick reducing the reliance on skilled labour and materials which are in acute shortfall across the country.
Blackwood Group launched the affordable housing scheme alongside the Minister for Housing, Kevin Stewart, in June.
