Two CCG projects have made it to the final of this year’s Scottish Home Awards in the same category…the suspense!
We need not joke. CCG is extremely proud to have Leith Fort and Dougrie Drive – two outstanding urban regeneration schemes – nominated in the Large Affordable Housing category. Constructed in partnership with Glasgow Housing Association (GHA) and Port of Leith HA and Edinburgh City Council respectively, both projects will go head-to-head with some of Scotland’s best affordable housing developments.
Dougrie Drive, Castlemilk, comprises 130 homes spread across various house types including a large amenity block that sist at the heart of the development. As a direct result of this project, CCG was able to provide various job and training opportunities to the local community including trade access to CCG’s trade apprenticeship programme.
Leith Fort, constructed upon the former Leith Fort in Edinburgh, is a mixed tenure development with 32 social rent properties and 64 mid-market rent properties designed to be a modern interpretation of the colonial house style that is so prevalent in Edinburgh. This has seen a variety of house types conceived – including 4 bedroom townhouses – as well as a site layout that has put the community at its heart.
The Scottish Home Awards 2018 will be held on the 14th of June at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange.
