Building Futures

Apprentices

Since 2013, the CCG Group has recruited and trained over 150 apprentices; our commitment to skills replenishment and creating opportunities for young men and woman across the country is engrained in our DNA and we will continue to forge a path and build futures for many years to come.

As a modern and progressive contractor, CCG understands the importance of providing a solid foundation for young people in choosing a career in construction.

One of the main ways we do this is through our annual commitment to provide trade and modern apprenticeship programmes for young people aged between 16 and 21 as well as adults where we provide a wide and varied learning environment across 2 and 4-year programmes for trades such as bricklaying, plumbing, joinery, floor-laying, electrical, or heating engineering in partnership with some of the country’s leading colleges.

Our modern apprenticeship roles in administration also offer direct routes to further career development in areas of accounting and buying with recent graduates going on to secure full-time positions at our Cambuslang HQ.

We work with some of Scotland’s leading colleges whilst our reach-out ‘Building Futures’ programme with Developing Young Workforce (DYW) and our work with Skills Development Scotland ensures that we are always engaged with young people who seek a pathway to the construction industry.

Across our Group, we currently employ 41 young people in an apprenticeship role with a strong percentage of graduates retained as part of our direct labour force every year. including

It is important to know that an apprenticeship with CCG is just the beginning – some of our very own senior managers and directors started out their careers as an apprentice so who knows where your career can go!

CCG is helping to build the future of the Scottish construction industry.
