Building Futures

Four CCG Group projects have been announced as finalists for this year’s Scottish Home Awards.

Taking place on the 23rd of June, the awards are one of the most prestigious in the Scottish property calendar and the CCG Group will aim to win for the second year in a row with both Bingham Avenue and Whitlawburn Regeneration nominated in the Affordable Housing Development of the Year and Housing Regeneration of the Year categories.

Heron Place, nominated by Hackland + Dore Architects and delivered on behalf of Port of Leith Housing Association, has scooped similar nominations and a fourth project, led by CCG Homes and forms part of the Whitlawburn Regeneration Masterplan, has also been announced as a Starter Home of the Year finalist for ‘The Maxwell’ at Western Terrace.

Bingham Avenue consists of 40, one-and-two-bedroom homes that were delivered by CCG, in partnership with Anderson Bell Christie, on behalf of the City of Edinburgh Council in Duddingstson, a  district located west of the city centre.

Whitlawburn Regeneration, designed by Stallan Brand, comprises the large-scale regeneration of East Whitlawburn with the creation of a 311-home mixed tenure masterplan that is being undertaken on a full Design & Build basis in partnership with South Lanarkshire Council and hub South West. The CCG Homes ‘Western Terrace’ development forms part of this masterplan and will deliver 81 homes for sale with 230 homes for social rent being provided by the Council and West Whitlawburn Housing Cooperative.

Heron Place is an £11m, 105-home development located at Granton Harbour. One of many new developments to form part of the Granton Waterfront Regeneration Framework, it was completed in early-2021; CCG is currently live on a further 304 homes, also for Port of Leith, adjacent to the site with works expected to be complete in 2023.
