Five CCG Projects Announced as CIH Scotland Housing Awards 2024 Finalists

Five CCG projects have been announced as finalists for this year’s CIH Scotland Housing Awards.

The Chartered Institute for Housing (CIH) is the UK’s biggest housing professional network with more than 16,000 members across England, Wales, and Scotland.

The Housing Scotland Awards, set to take place on the 8th of November, are designed to showcase the commitment of members and their teams of dedicated professionals to the Scottish housing sector, recognising their commitment to development, tenants, customers, and communities over the last year.

CCG (Scotland) is a proud partner of several of this year’s nominees with five developments recognised in three categories:

Double-nominated Langlands Road, Glasgow – located in Govan, the 46-home development was led entirely by CCG, from land acquisition to full construction delivery, for Trsut Housing Association, and is a finalist in the Excellence in Regeneration & Sustainability, and Excellence in Development for Affordable Housing categories.

Triple-nominated Dundashill, Glasgow – CCG has led the construction of the first two phases of the Dundashill Regeneration Masterplan, with the 90-home Plot 3A – Scotland’s largest Passivhaus development – for West of Scotland Housing Association, and the 78-home, low-carbon ‘Maltings Wynd’ for igloo Regeneration. Both sites are recognised in the Excellence in Development for Affordable Housing category, whilst Plot 3A is also a finalist for the Net Zero in Housing Award and Excellence in Regeneration & Sustainability.

North Lanarkshire Council – two major regeneration projects for North Lanarkshire Council are also recognised. The 150-home Dykehead Road in Airdrie is home to the local authority’s first-ever net zero homes (19) and is nominated in the Excellence in Regeneration & Sustainability and Net Zero in Housing categories. Castlehill Road (97 homes) is the first phase of a multi-phase regeneration in Wishaw delivered in partnership with hub South West, and is nominated in the Excellence in Development for Affordable Housing category. Both projects form part of the Council’s tower block transformation strategy and form part of a wider affordable housebuilding partnership that has delivered over 300 homes since 2019.
