Previous phases at Dundashill included 90 Passivhaus flats by the West of Scotland Housing Association, and 78 townhouses, all rated EPC ‘A’, each built by CCG (Scotland) for igloo.
The next phase of 88 homes, with a mix of 1- and 2- bed apartments, 2- and 3- bed duplex lofts and 3- and 4- bedroom townhouses, with roof terraces overlooking the city, have been designed with people, place and planet in mind by Stallan Brand and HAUS Collective.
The variety of architecture from these Glasgow based practices will offer residents a choice of house design, internal layout, and garden arrangement. The homes will be low energy, benefitting from enhanced insulation and air tightness, with air source heat pumps and plug-and-play EV charging as standard.
Residents will benefit from attractive green spaces, crafted by Rankin Fraser and delivering biodiversity net gain of >30%, to bring them closer to nature, and nurture the community feel of the neighbourhood, with a mix of private gardens and communal spaces to gather.
Gary Watt, Development Director at igloo said:
“We’re delighted to bring forward the planning application for the next phase of Dundashill. Having welcomed our first buyers into their new homes earlier this year, we’ve seen first-hand the benefits of creating healthy neighbourhoods where people can live and work, as we continue to build a thriving community in Glasgow.
“Dundashill is fast making a name for itself as a new community in the city, offering climate resilient living on Glasgow’s canal, with a rich mix of culture, sports and urban nature right on the doorstep. We’re proud to work alongside our partners to reimagine what it means to live sustainably, healthily and happily in Scotland.”
Construction on phase three of Dundashill is expected to start in summer 2025.
