ASSISTANT PRODUCTION MANAGER

Title: Assistant Production Manager
Salary: Salary Commensurate to skills / experience – Pension & other company benefits included
Hours: Full time (Back-Shift), Monday to Thursday 14:30pm to 22:45pm; Friday 14:30pm to 21:30pm
Location: CCG OSM, 2 Drumhead Road, Cambuslang East Investment Park G32 8EX

CCG Offsite Manufacturing (OSM) is a leading manufacturer of advanced panelised timber systems based in Glasgow. Founded by our parent company CCG (Scotland) Ltd in 2009, CCG OSM extends to 130,000 sq ft and is a semi-automated, 3-lane manufacturing line – one of the most advanced in the United Kingdom – that utilises CAD-CAM software to create the ‘iQ’ Timber System, a fully enhanced closed panel (timber frame) solution inclusive of insulation, internal wall linings, service zones, windows and doors with the capability of also accepting lightweight claddings.

At present, OSM operates over 2 shifts in order to service the pipeline of secured work. Due to the evolution of our pre and post-production departments, OSM is currently seeking an Assistant Production Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing Team Leaders / Supervisor’s and associated operatives across all areas of timber frame manufacturing line
  • Responsible for outputs and achieving of set targets, including throughput reporting and monitoring
  • Monitoring of operative’s attendance, absenteeism and holidays
  • Ensuring and maintaining quality control and waste management protocol
  • Oversee factory operative training, appraisals and routine engagement
  • Ensure clear communication and continuity between working shifts
  • Ensuring factory housekeeping and yard management standards are maintained
  • Following and implementing company disciplinary procedures
  • Communicating effectively with other departments
  • Factory recruitment

  • Timber frame knowledge is preferred (but not essential)
