Trainee Foreperson

CCG is looking for a Trainee Foreperson to work as part of our site delivery team with our Asset Management division, and assist in coordinating all aspects of labour and material control throughout the project.

Asset Management is responsible for all plumbing aspects for CCG’s new build construction projects and offers specialist services for the planned maintenance of occupied homes.

The successful applicant will be a driven individual who has a genuine desire to learn across all project types and further their career with CCG.

A very active role working under the direction of the Site Manager to ensure we deliver our projects on time whilst maintaining the highest quality standards and customer satisfaction.

Salary: Competitive
Hours: Full time, Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.30pm, Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm; with additional hours worked as per project demands
Location: Glasgow
Status: Permanent

The Role

  • Assist the Foreperson in project delivery
  • Assist coordination of labour and material control to assist the project team in ensuring an efficient method of delivering the project on programme
  • Assist in scheduling work to be carried out to ensure production targets are achieved and high quality of product is maintained
  • Assist in ensuring work methods are performed correctly
  • Assist in completing relevant documentation on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Assist in ensuring CCG’s Group Health, Safety & Environmental Policy is being adhered to and encouraging safe working practices on site

Skills

  • Trade background preferred but not essential
  • Good Leadership qualities
  • Basis knowledge of drawings
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated
  • Experience of working in occupied properties/dealing with tenants – desirable
  • Good communication skills
  • IT knowledge
  • Full driving licence
