Title: Trainee Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor
Department: Health and Safety
Reports to: Group Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor
Salary: Dependent on skills/ experience
Hours: Full time, Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.30pm, Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm; with additional hours worked as workload requires
Location: CCG (Scotland) Ltd HQ, 1 Cambuslang Road, Cambuslang Investment Park, Glasgow, G32 8NB
Contract: Permanent

Position Summary

CCG are looking for a motivated individual who wants to develop and further their career in the field of Health, Safety & Environmental Management.

Working within the Health, Safety & Environmental Department, the individual would be involved in assisting CCG to comply with its legal obligations through preparation of legal documentation, workplace inspections, accident investigations, training and providing advice to all group companies and divisions.

An essential position within the company, to assist in the continual improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental performance, throughout all of CCG’s activities.

Skills Required:

  • Good all round IT skills (specifically MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • Good time management and attention to detail
  • Good Communicator – needs to be able to effectively communicate in both spoken and written word.
  • Good Organisational skills in order to managing demanding workload.
  • Ability to work effectively on own as well as being part of a team.
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Preferable for individual to have or to be working towards formal H,S & E qualification (NEBOSH Certificate, etc). However, exceptional candidates without formal training would be considered, with a view to CCG investing in further training.
