The private housing arm of the CCG Group, the brand re-entered the private housing market with Riverford Gardens, a 156-home, multi-award-winning development in the southside of Glasgow, followed by Western Terrace in 2020.
Located just outside Cambuslang’s busy town centre, the development comprises 81 two and three-bedroom terraced and semi-detached homes that form part of the mixed-tenure Whitlawburn Regeneration masterplan. Formerly a site of mid-rise terraced flats, Whitlawburn has been transformed into a new community of high-quality homes formally completed in summer-2023.
The mandate for the development was to replace the existing housing stock with modern, energy-efficient and accessible alternatives that could principally support the majority of tenants that already lived at the development. The masterplan ultimately delivered 230 one to four-bedroom affordable homes, alongside the private properties of Western Terrace, for South Lanarkshire Council (170 units) and West Whitlawburn Housing Co-operative (60 units). Complementary was the Council’s desire to bring private housing to the area and in doing so, CCG Homes received unprecedented levels of demand with 75% of the development sold out within nine months, 60% of which were from the first-time buyer demographic.
CCG Homes’ focus was to provide a leading standard of specification. Designer kitchens, bathrooms and integrated storage were provided as standard within a housing mix that offered space up to 1010sqft whilst offering private garden space and parking bays for up to two vehicles.
