DALGETY BAY CARE HOME, FIFE

Dalgety Bay is a scenic coastal town in the south of Fife which is now home to the first official project to have been delivered by Morrison Community Care (CCG) Holdco, an innovative joint venture between Morrison Community Care Group (MCCG) and CCG.

With increasing pressures on the NHS and an ageing population, the demand for care homes has never been higher and so, in 2021, a joint venture between MCCG and CCG was established to address this growing demand quality, modern accommodation for the elderly in Scotland.

CCG work alongside MCCG to source and develop sites in cities and townships that have a recognised demand for care services. The first project to come to fruition was Dalgety Bay Care Home which comprised the transformation of a former automotive garage into this new, luxury development.

Designed by Holmes Miller and supported by Design Me and Cowal Design, the care home especially caters to the needs of residents over the age of 65 with 24/7 residential, nursing and dementia care services provided by the operator, Care Concern, and up to 100 staff across a wide variety of roles.

Private en-suite bedrooms, dining facilities, hair salon, champagne bar, cinema and family rooms as well as a putting green and landscaped grounds are amongst the range of integrated amenities available to residents to create a comfortable, ‘home from home’ environment. Furthermore, the design and layout of the care home has been carefully thought out with a range of services and measures in place to help infection control and mitigate the spread of virus.

Each care home that is developed is supported entirely by CCG’s in-house divisions with main construction services complemented by the manufacture of our enhanced timber systems and window & door sets as well as flooring installation and all joinery, plumbing, utilities and M&E services.

Dalgety Bay Care Home was officially opened in October 2023.
