DURY’S LANE, OLD VIC, SADLER’S WELL, EAST KILBRIDE

Forming part of an 18-month, multi-million-pound door replacement workstream, the 150 residences at Dury’ Lane, Old Vic and Sadler’s Well are the beneficiaries of fire safety measures.

Located in East Kilbride, 835 timber FD60 fire door sets were installed across the three, high-rise blocks south of the busy town centre for South Lanarkshire Council.

CCG Manufacturing fabricated the solid timber doors in Cambuslang with a product offering that extended to flat entrances for each dwelling, riser and storage cupboards, and common & main entrances.

Timber acts as a natural fire break whilst intumescent seals within the door frame also help prevent the passage of smoke and harmful gases.

Automatic closing systems also ensure the doors always close, meaning that tenants and emergency service personnel are given safe passage within the building during an emergency.

CCG Asset Management installed all of the doors within a 3-month programme with procurement undertaken via the Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA) C8 Framework.
