Connal Street, Dalmarnock, will comprise 41 homes in a mix of four-storey flats and two-storey terraced houses that will be delivered on behalf of Thenue Housing Association.
The development has been designed by MAST Architects to follow Designing for Street principles. A rear parking court arrangement allows the blocks to directly address the street, forming active frontages around all four sides of the site boundary, creating a sense of place and community. Key pedestrian routes also provide connectivity through the site on foot and provide access to areas of amenity space and a children’s playground.
Future residents are set to benefit from enhanced thermal comfort and performance resulting from CCG’s advanced build methods and the home’s connection to the pioneering district heating network that presently provides services to the Athletes’ Village, a 700-home development led by CCG as part of City Legacy that was constructed to support the 2014 Commonwealth Games, as well as a 120-bed care home and the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.
