Riverford Gardens is a multi-award-winning, private housing development located in the south side of Glasgow.

Situated along the banks of the White Cart River overlooking Auldhouse Park, the 2.46ha development is accessible from Riverford Road and sits within the confluence of Pollokshaws, Shawlands, and Newlands, comprising a total of 156 private homes, designed by MAST Architects, that are entirely advantaged from the site’s unique river setting.

The housing mix includes 104 one and two-bedroom apartments provided in a series of blocks reaching up to five storeys alongside a mix of three-bedroom, two-storey semi-detached houses (12) and three-storey, four-bedroom terraced villas (40).

The project was launched in tandem with the re-birth of CCG Homes which assumed responsibility for the sale of the development in March 2018. With an uncompromising mix of house types, each provided with a market-leading standard of specification and spacious layouts, as well as being afforded with excellent transport links and local amenities, the development was a sales hit upon its formal launch in June 2019. Full sell-out status was achieved by January 2021.

Over 45% of the purchasers at Riverford Gardens were first-time buyers whilst nearly 50 sales were taken during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, representing a remarkable achievement for the CCG Homes Sales Team.

The entire development was constructed using the CCG iQ Timber System, a key component to the successful delivery of the development. Bound by the White Cart, the 2.4a site is only accessible by one point of entry and, additionally, the river also heavily restricted the means to store materials and vehicular movements. Given the flexibility of the closed panel solution, the construction programme was streamlined in such a way that it could perform the necessary function of building out the homes whilst accommodating an on-site sales presence and a phased entry of habitation during the phase of delivery, ultimately ensuring full completion within a 3-year programme.
