LARKFIELD EARLY LEARNING CENTRE, GREENOCK

Inverclyde Council’s ambitious education improvement programme is improving the availability of education across the region with their latest development delivering 100 spaces for children in Greenock.

Larkfield Early Learning Centre is a purpose-built facility for 2-5-year-olds. The development has been delivered as a result of an ambitious programme of £250m investment from Inverclyde Council who have steadily increased the availability and quality of education across the regional area since 2010.

Working in partnership with hub West Scotland, Larkfield was the fourth project to have been completed by CCG in as many years with the completion of a fifth – an extension to the Rainbow Family Centre in Port Glasgow – following shortly after in late-2021.

The project utilised the internal expertise of the CCG Group with the use of the ‘iQ’ Timber System, alongside floor cassettes, for the building’s superstructure as well as the manufacture of enhanced common and entrance door sets, the supply of flooring, and the installation of a bespoke M&E Services package from CCG Group member, Arc-Tech (Scotland).
