TRUST HOUSING ASSOCIATION BOARD VISITS LANGLANDS ROAD

Trust board members and the leadership team visited the Association’s new homes at Langlands Road in Govan this week.

The visit was an opportunity to view the project as the £9 million affordable housing development is due to be completed in Spring 2024, with customers moving into their new homes soon after.

The flagship development for Trust in Glasgow is being delivered in partnership with Glasgow City Council and CCG (Scotland) Ltd with 46 new affordable homes being developed in the heart of Govan.

The homes have been designed to meet the “Housing for Various Needs” standards, “Greener Standard” and “Secure by Design Gold Standard”, whilst CCG’s advanced construction methods will ensure future residents will benefit from drastically reduced heat loss, thanks to the homes’ enhanced thermal performance, which will in turn help to control fuel bills and lower carbon emissions.

Kyle Ruparelia, regional finance director at CALA Homes, and Trust board member, said:

“I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Langlands to see Trust’s new build development at Langlands Road. I was impressed with the quality of finish and design of the properties we viewed, each flat was spacious and had some great views of the city.

“These homes will be a pleasant living environment for future customers. I would like to pass on my appreciation to Trust and CCG for the visit and for their continued hard work and commitment to quality, as the site nears completion in March.”

CCG director, Calum Murray, added:

“We were delighted to welcome Trust to Langlands Road this week. With scaffolding no longer in place and construction activities now entering their final stages, you can now fully appreciate the positive impact the development will have on Govan’s town centre.

“I give thanks to our design team, supply chain partners, and our construction team for their efforts as well as Trust for their continued support. We collectively look forward to welcoming the new residents very soon.”

CCG’s in-house divisional expertise has supported the delivery of the project with main construction services and the offsite manufacture of timber systems augmented by the full design and fabrication of PVCu windows and enhanced door sets as well as the installation of renewable services, utilities, flooring and plumbing and joinery trades.

Furthermore, a range of community initiatives have been undertaken during the course of the construction programme. CCG created 2 full-time jobs, delivered 6 work placements and attended various events with local schools
