EAST RENFREWSHIRE COUNCIL VARIOUS

CCG is responsible for delivering the first Council homes in a generation across East Renfrewshire.

Having been appointed as a strategic housebuilding partner in 2018, CCG has worked with East Renfrewshire Council to deliver new modern, homes to an exemplar standard of design and energy standard.

Utilising a suite of CCG-designed house types, a total of 35 homes have been created across three developments. Robertson Street and Fenwick Drive were completed in 2019 with Blackbyres Road delivered the following year. Balgraystone Road, currently under construction, represents the largest council-led project in the local authority with 48 one, two, three and four-bedroom homes in a mix of flats and terraced house types set to be completed in early-2022.

All the homes delivered across the projects have been constructed entirely utilising the CCG ‘iQ’ Timber System whilst additional services have been provided by  CC Manufacturing – design and supply of timber and PVCu windows and doors – and solar PV via Group member, Arc-Tech (Scotland).

Each project has helped sustain a programme of social value for the Barrhead community with a range of initiatives tailored to meet the needs of community members, local groups and projects. In total, 4 full-time jobs, 3 trade apprenticeships, 12 work placements and a series of curriculum support programmes for schools.

Financial donations have also been provided to local community groups with £1.5k to the All About Barrhead at The Foundry to contribute to the Funding for an intern from the local area whose role involves developing, delivering and marketing public events and other local marketing initiatives as well as a £2500 donation to Arthurlie Juniors and, most recently, £4000 to the Include Me 2 Club in Barrhead as a direct result of the Balgraystone development
